DANNY JAMES AUSTIN

Danny James Austin has performed, choreographed and directed on four continents. A Resident Director of Hairspray, Associate Choreographer of Hairspray West End. Assistant Choreographer for Jersey Boys Broadway, West End, Chicago, Las Vegas and 1st U.S.. National Tour, Artistic Director Dare to Dance (Canada), Resident Director of Anne of Green Gables at Charlottetown Festival (Canada), Artistic Director for Charlottetown Festival Young Company, Choreographer Emily (TIFT, Canada), Artistic Director/Choreographer One Sky (Trafalgar Square). He was a member of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival acting company for seven seasons. Awards include: two Tyrone Guthrie Awards (Stratford Shakespeare Festival of Canada) and Artistic Director’s Award (Charlottetown Festival). Television credits include: Choreography Consultant on Sky TV’s “Hairspray: The Summer School Musical,” Consulting Associate Choreographer of The Juno Awards, Associate Director and Choreographer of two Bravo specials for Mac Viva Glam Circus and Casino. He has also choreographed three contemporary ballets with world premieres in Russia, China and Trafalgar Square London.
